Thriving Transmen of Color is a dynamic grassroots organization led by Black and Brown transgender individuals worldwide and based in Downtown Newport News. Our mission is to uplift our community by breaking down stigmas and equipping members with the tools for success.
We are dedicated to reducing the barriers our community faces by offering vital resources and support to enhance overall quality of life. Our vision is to foster opportunities within the community, empowering individuals to achieve their personal and professional goals.
Online Support Groups we offer:
TTMOC BIPOC Transman Support Lounge: A Facebook group with over 2000 members nationwide, offering a space for connection and mutual support.
Thrive Marathon (Empowerment Sessions): Weekly support group for BIPOC trans men.
OGs Support Group: Monthly support group for 50+ BIPOC transmasculine individuals.
TTMOC Allies and Support Space: A Facebook group with over 200 allies sharing resources.
Current Programs and Services
Binder Donation Program: We accept gently used binder donations and provide them exclusively to low-income transmasculine individuals.
Impact: Ensures access to gender-affirming garments, boosting confidence and mental well-being.
Mutual Aid Program: We provide food and clothing to individuals who cannot afford these essentials.
Impact: Addresses basic needs, reducing stress and improving quality of life.
